SERVICES & ATTRACTIONS

The following towns are just a short drive from Riverside where you can

pick up groceries and other supplies for your visit:

TWEED (12km South of Riverside)

MADOC (16.8km West of Riverside)

KALADAR (23.1km Northeast of Riverside)

If you're looking to venture outside of the campground during your stay, there are several beautiful attractions nearby to enjoy like the Swimming Hole, High Falls, and a Dark Sky Viewing Area. See below for more details and directions.

HIGH FALLS

Kayak or canoe along the Skootamatta River to the beautiful High Falls. 

 

HOW TO GET THERE:

From Riverside, kayak or canoe WEST along the Skootamatta River for approximately 2.2km until you reach the top of the falls. Secure your kayak or canoe on land and enjoy the view or go for a dip at the base of the falls.

THE SWIMMING HOLE

Relax and enjoy a refreshing dip at the swimming hole. 

 

HOW TO GET THERE:

From Riverside, travel EAST along Robinson Rd N.

After 2km, make a left onto Moores Rd.

After 1.5km, Moores Rd. becomes Upper Flinton Rd.

After 900m, you'll get to the bridge and the swimming hole will be on your left.

Total travel time (by car) is approx. 6 min.

DARK SKY

VIEWING AREA

The Lennox & Addington Dark Sky Viewing Area is ready to wow you with incredible, clear views. This spot is the most southerly point in Ontario that offers a night sky experience very similar to what was available more than 100 years ago.

BON ECHO

PROVINCIAL PARK

Bon Echo Provincial Park is a provincial park in southeastern Ontario, Canada, approximately 6 kilometres north of Cloyne. The park is within township boundaries of both North Frontenac and Addington Highlands, roughly separated by Highway 41.
